What is Bundobust?

Indian Street Food & Craft Beer

Bundobust serves vegetarian and vegan Gujarati street food 7 days a week. Beer brewed at Bundobust Brewery is only available at Bundobust, alongside the best modern beer from domestic and international breweries. Walk-ins are always welcome. We recommend two / three dishes per person, alternatively, our combos are a great way to experience Bundobust with friends. Sharing is encouraged.

It started with a tweet. In 2013, Mayur Patel asked Marko Husak on Twitter to collaborate on a street food event. Mayur’s family runs Prashad – one of the UK’s most highly regarded Indian restaurants – while Marko operated a revered craft beer spot, The Sparrow Bier Café in Bradford. After a string of sold-out events and pop-ups, the combination of Gujarati street food and craft beer proved too powerful a pairing to not pursue. Patel and Husak went on to open the first Bundobust restaurant in Leeds in 2014, with Bundobust Manchester Piccadilly following in 2016, and Bundobust Liverpool in 2019, and now Bundobust Brewery in 2021.

Widely regarded as a game-changing and critically acclaimed enterprise within the independent food and drink industry, Bundobust has forged itself as a beacon of successful casual dining in the North.
